Fire Investigators seek help identifying person responsible for vehicle fire

Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington fire officials are asking for help identifying a person responsible for a vehicle fire.

According to Battalion Chief Jordan Saas, fire crews responded to a vehicle fire Monday morning at 5:30 in the 600 block of Mitchell Avenue. The vehicle, owned by a military veteran, sustained significant damage from the fire.

The investigation revealed the fire was intentionally set, according to Saas.

Investigators are asking the public for assistance in finding the person responsible. Anyone with information related to the fire is urged to call the Lexington Fire/Arson Investigation Bureau at 859-231-5672, Lexington Police at 859-258-3600, or email arsontips@lexingtonky.gov.
