Fire Engine involved in Lexington crash
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – According to the Lexington Fire Department, one of their Fire Engines was involved in a wreck today, at 4:44 this afternoon.
Officials say Engine 15 struck a vehicle at the intersection of Nichols Park Road, and Man O’ War Blvd.
The civilian driver whose vehicle was struck was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, says the Fire Department.
The firefighter driving the engine was also transported to a nearby hospital, with minor injuries.
Police say the inner loop of Man O War will be shut down around that intersection.
