Fire destroys second story of Danville home

DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- According to the Advocate-Messenger, firefighters had to call for backup while putting out a house fire Tuesday afternoon.

They say a fire was confined to the upstairs portion of a home on Russell Street, then spread to the attic.

The newspaper says no one was home at the time the fire started. The man who lives there was picking up his daughter when the fire broke out.

Danville firefighters asked the Boyle County Fire Department to cover all other calls within the city while they worked to put the fire out.
