Fire damages two Lexington apartments
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fire Wednesday afternoon is leaving two families without a place to stay.
The Lexington Fire Department responded to a call just after 1 p.m. about a fire at the Augusta Arms Apartments at 1835 Augusta Drive.
Firefighters say there were four apartments in the complex and the fire started in the upper right apartment.
There was no one in the apartment at the time but there was a dog inside. The dog made it out safely.
The person living below was home at the time. He also made it out safe but says he, along with his upstairs neighbors, will not be able to stay in their apartments.
Firefighters are trying to determine a cause.
