Fire damages two homes in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ)-Firefighters, along with many other units, helped to put out a fire Monday morning that spread to another home, and almost spread to a third home.

Manchester Fire says the fire broke out on Oak Street in Manchester, just after 4 a.m. Monday.

Firefighters say that when they arrived, one structure was fully involved, another structure on fire, and a third structure in danger.

Officers with Manchester Police evacuated the homes, where there were adults and children inside.

Other units were able to extinguish the fires. Two of the homes did not have smoke detectors, according to Manchester Fire.

Eight departments helped in this fire.
