Fire damages Montgomery County home

MT. STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Montgomery County family is out of their home following a fire.

It broke out at a home on Virginia Avenue in Mount Sterling.

Crews were called to the scene just after 1 a.m. Thursday for what started as a porch fire.

It spread to the bedroom, damaging it.

The rest of the house also had smoke damage.

No one was hurt.

No word on a cause.
