Fire Damages Catholic Action Center Thrift Shop
Fire investigators looked for the cause of an early morning fire that damaged a building run by the Catholic Action Center Monday.
Lexington firefighters said they were called to ‘God’s Quarters’, a thrift shop on East 7th Street, just after 5 a.m.
They said it was a passerby who called it in.
Fire officials said the fire spread to the air conditioner and a recycling bin just in front of the office window. They said the fire then damaged the front office before they were able to get it out.
A fire investigator was also called to the scene
As of this writing, fire officials say it’s still too early to determine a cause, and don’t know if the fire was accidental or otherwise.
ABC-36 will report the information as we get it.
