UPDATE: Private plane crashes at Frankfort airport

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Frankfort fire crews responded to a plane crash at Capital City Airport in Frankfort around 10:30 Thursday morning.

Station 3 Fire Chief Wayne Briscoe tells ABC36 a plane went down at Capital City Airport. Several crews responded including Emergency Management.

Chief Briscoe says two people on board received minor injuries. No one was taken to the hospital.

Fire officials say the plane was a private aircraft that went down during an instructional training course.

Operations will continue as normal at the airport.
