Fire Breaks Out at Apartment Complex on Lindhurst Drive

A small fire inside of an apartment broke out at a Lexington apartment complex Saturday evening.

Firefighters were called to the scene after burning candles fell onto furniture around 7:15 p.m., Battalion Chief Jeff Nantz said.

Nantz said the fire was contained to the living room of the one apartment on the first floor.

The apartment above, on the second floor, received some smoke damage. Firefighters were able to quickly ventilate the smoke out of that apartment.

Nantz said there were no injuries.
