Fiery motorcycle crash Friday morning shuts down stretch of Lexington Road
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a fiery motorcycle crash on Tates Creek in Lexington Friday morning.
The crash happened near the intersection of Tates Creek and Delong roads, per a traffic alert from the Lexington Traffic Management Center. Lexington police say a motorcycle and two vehicles crashed. The motorcycle and one of the vehicles had then caught fire, police said.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Lexington police.
At one point, Tates Creek Road was shut down in both directions between Ethel Drive and Delong Road. However, that roadway has reopened.
