Fiery Crash Closes Stretch Of I-75 In Laurel County

A crash involving a Fed-Ex tractor trailer closed a stretch of Interstate 75 just north of Corbin in Laurel County, according to State Police.

Investigators said it happened around 8:00 p.m. near mile marker 30.

State Police said the southbound semi overturned and caught fire.

Investigators said the truck driver suffered only minor injuries.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said a car was also involved in the accident.

Initially all southbound and northbound lanes were closed.

By 11:00 p.m., one lane in each direction was open, according to State Police.
