FEMA deadline approaches

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Less than four weeks remains for Kentuckians to register for Federal Disaster Assistance for April 2-17’s severe weather, says the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

FEMA reminds residents that June 13 is the deadline to apply for disaster relief, adding that Farmers and self-employed people in 10 Kentucky counties may be eligible if their livelihoods were affected.

June 30, they say, is the deadline to register for grant assistance from FEMA and to complete a disaster loan application for the SBA.

FEMA says they have approved $3.2 million in grants for households and individuals. U.S. Small Business Administration says they have approved more than $2 million in disaster loans for business, homeowners, and renters.
