Federal court dismisses vaping lawsuit in Kentucky

FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman is calling it a major legal victory after a federal lawsuit challenging the state’s vaping law was dismissed.

The suit targeted House Bill 11, which bans the sale of unauthorized vape products and restricts all vape sales to people over the age of 21. The case was dropped before the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, effectively ending the legal challenge.

Attorney General Coleman said the ruling helps protect Kentucky families and reaffirmed his commitment to defending state law in court.
