FCPS to livestream 2021 high school graduations

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – In a first for Fayette County Public Schools district, the 2021 high school commencement ceremonies in Rupp Arena will be livestreamed to the FCPS ’ YouTube channel (#FCPSKY).

Rupp has limited the in-person audiences because of COVID-19 precautions, with each graduate receiving only four tickets for guests.

Now, with the livestream, everyone can watch the seniors cross the stage and receive their diplomas.

Graduation schedule:

Wednesday, May 19

• 10 a.m. – Henry Clay
• 2 p.m. – Frederick Douglass
• 6 p.m. – Tates Creek

Thursday, May 20

• 10 a.m. – Lafayette
• 2 p.m. – Bryan Station
• 6 p.m. – Paul Laurence Dunbar

FCPS Creative Media Productions will replay the ceremonies on television as usual on Spectrum’s Channel 197, Metronet’s Channel 2, and Windstream’s Channel 13.
