FCPS students need additional vaccinations for 2018-19
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County Public Schools say starting in the 2018-19 school year, students will need Hepatitis A and Meningitis B vaccinations.
The first dose of Hepatitis A, which is required for all students who aren’t vaccinated, must be received before February 14.
That puts the student on schedule to get the second dose in six months, prior to the start of the 2018-19 school year in mid-August.
Also, students entering high school this fall will need to have the Meningitis B vaccination.
Fayette County Public Schools says the state requires all students to bring in a new immunization certificate for the upcoming school year.
