FCPS no longer using X/Twitter
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) has announced that they will no longer be posting updates on X, formerly known as Twitter, starting Friday, September 27, 2024.
In a statement, FCPS confirmed that they will continue to share news and celebrations on their Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages instead.
ABC36 reached out to FCPS for comment, and the district shared, “After a recent audit of social media usage, it was determined that X was no longer a platform that generated engagement.” The statement continued, “That is why it was decided that we sunset X on September 27, 2024.”
The district encourages the community to follow their updates on their other active social media platforms.
