FBI: “Sock Bandit” still at large
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — The FBI says it is still offering a $5,000 reward, for information leading to the arrest of the “Sock Bandit”, who has so far robbed 9 banks.
In each instance, FBI officials say the suspect has presented a note demanding cash from the teller, and claimed to have a gun. Described as a white, clean-shaven 35-45 male of average height and weight, FBI says the suspect has worn a sock hat during each bank robbery and glasses during most.
Though no one has been hurt during the robberies, authorities say the man should be considered armed and dangerous.
