Fayette’s seven-day COVID average remains at 14

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County’s seven-day moving COVID average held steady Thursday as the county reported 10 new COVID cases for the second day in a row.

According to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s morning report Thursday, the 10 new cases pushed the total since March 2020 to 35,403.

The seven-day moving average rose remained at 14.

The county reported no new deaths, leaving 318 lost to COVID-related causes since March 2020.

It comes as the health department sets more opportunities this week to try to continue to grow the number of people vaccinated in the community.

The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department is offering free vaccination clinics, each with a different COVID-19 vaccine. Walk-ins will be accepted, or residents can schedule an appointment at lfchd.org/vaccine.

— Public Health Clinic: Free COVID-19 vaccines will be available by same-day appointment 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. every Monday in the department’s Public Health Clinic at 650 Newtown Pike. Call 859-288-2483 to schedule an appointment.
