Fayette Seed to close at end of October
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – They have been helping gardens grow for decades in Fayette County, but now a Lexington business family is shutting down its store.
Jerry and Karen Goins, the owners at Fayette Seed on Red Mile Road say the last day of business will be Saturday, October 29th.
Established in 1934, Fayette Seed has been owned or managed by a member of the Goins family since the mid 1950’s.
The family says they are trying to sell the business, but if they can’t find a buyer, they say they will lease the property and hold an auction in late November for the remaining inventory and equipment.
