Fayette organization to host “For Love of the Children Week” event
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- In order to help WHAS Crusade for Children, organizations are joining to launch “For Love of the Children Week” in Fayette County.
It’ll take place from February 7th through the 13th and includes a variety of restaurants which will give a portion of sales to WHAS Crusade. the week long event features coffee shops, lunches and other establishments.
“We thought this was an easy way for our community to show they support the work of our organizations and believe all children with special needs deserve the right to fulfill their potential,” says Melynda Jamison with CASA of Lexington.
WHAS Crusade for Children’s goal is to improve the futures of children with special needs by inspiring people to give and awarding grants. This year, $313,909 was provided to organization in Fayette County for the children served through WHAS Crusade.
The event was organized by Allegro Dance Project, Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Inc., CASA of Lexington, Easter Seals Cardinal Hill, Hospice of the Bluegrass and VIPS-Central Kentucky. All proceeds from the event will go to WHAS Crusade to support its mission and allow it to continue giving back to the organizations and individuals it serves.
