Fayette Mall robbery suspect arrested

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police find the person they were looking for in connection to a robbery at the Fayette Mall.

According to court documents, 21-year-old Laybron Franklin went into the Vengeance store at the mall back on September 7th with four other men.

Police say surveillance video shows Franklin pulling a gun from his waistband and pointing it at the clerk and two other customers.

The customers were robbed but the store was not, according to police.

The suspects all ran off toward Dick’s Sporting Goods after the robbery.

Police put a warrant out for Franklin’s arrest last week.

He was arrested Sunday.

Franklin is charged with wanton endangerment.

No word yet on whether he will be charged with robbery.
