Fayette follows record day with second highest new COVID cases
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – After setting a new one-day record Saturday, the number of new coronavirus cases in Fayette County followed up with a new second-highest day Monday.
The 183 new cases means the county has seen four of its six highest days since Nov. 4.
Monday’s 183 cases pushed the county’s total to 12,651, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s daily morning report Tuesday.
The county recorded no new deaths, leaving the total number of people lost to coronavirus-related causes at 102.
The county has had 1,318 cases so far in November, according to the Health Department.
The number of reported cases has grown steadily each month during the outbreak:
- 110, March
- 143, April
- 507, May
- 793, June
- 1,702 July
- 2,538, August
- 2,804, September
- 2,736, October
