Fayette COVID cases remain down, pop-up walk-in clinic at Winburn this week
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County continues to see decreasing numbers of new COVID cases.
The 17 cases reported Saturday come as the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department sets another pop-up clinic in a neighborhood as part of the ongoing efforts to get more people vaccinated against the virus.
The free one-dose Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine clinic is 1-4 p.m. Thursday, May 27 at the Winburn Center (Community Action Council) at 1169 Winburn Drive.
No appointments are needed and plenty of vaccine is available. Only walk-ins will be accepted!
The vaccine is free and available for anyone ages 18 and older.
Meanwhile, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s daily report Monday, the county confirmed 17 new COVID cases Saturday, bringing to 35,154 the number confirmed since March 2020.
The seven-day moving average remains at 20.
The county recorded no new deaths, leaving the total number of deaths from COVID-related causes at 316.
