Fayette County to Improve Pedestrian Safety

A grant from the Safe States Alliance has allowed Fayette County, Madison County and the Louisville Metro area to focus on improving pedestrian safety.

A report shows that nearly 80 pedestrians were killed in these locations over the past four years.

The $40,000 grant will go toward a six-member team training course, resources and community-tailored safety projects.

The six-person team has already started collecting data and seeking local representatives to act in each community.
