Fayette County Public Schools to hold a community forum on school boundaries
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Fayette County Public Schools is inviting families and community members to weigh in on possible changes that could reshape school boundaries across the district.
District leaders say the “Right Size, Bright Future” community forum is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the John D. Price Administration Building on Park Place.
According to officials, the meeting is part of a broader effort to gather public input as the Board of Education prepares to make decisions involving district growth, facility needs and student access. Leaders say feedback from the community will help guide future plans tied to school boundaries and potential campus renovations.
The agenda shows several schools up for review, including Carter G. Woodson Academy, SCAPA at Bluegrass and Maxwell Spanish Immersion Magnet Elementary.
District officials say the forum is designed to give families an opportunity to learn more about the process, ask questions and share their perspectives before any final decisions are made.
