Fayette County Public Schools introduces new safety tracker
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Fayette County Public School District has launched a new safety tracker, a tool aimed at improving how it communicates with families during emergencies and when investigating threats. This digital resource, available on the district’s website, ensures that parents and guardians are promptly updated.
The tracker currently provides insights into recent security incidents within the district, including a threat at Henry Clay High School last Thursday, which was investigated and found to be non-credible. It also covers a recent evacuation at Tates Creek High School, triggered by a malfunctioning fire sensor last Tuesday.
This initiative is part of the district’s ongoing efforts to maintain transparency and provide real-time communication regarding school safety issues, ensuring that the community remains informed about the measures in place to protect students.
