Fayette County Detention Center inmate charged with escape

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police have charged a Fayette County Detention Center inmate with escape.

According to police, 31-year-old Youcef Brahimi ran through a door behind an employee with keycard access, then tried to buzz Detention Center Master Control to open a second locked door.

He was unsuccessful and will appear in court Monday on an added escape charge.
