Fayette County cancels outdoor siren test
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County has cancelled its test of its outdoor warning siren system for Thursday.
The siren was scheduled to go off as part of a statewide Tornado Safety Drill being conducted at 10:07 a.m.
Lexington Emergency Management says it’s due to the uncertain weather conditions.
Officials say other statewide alerting systems – such as the NOAA weather radios and the EAS system for television and radio stations – may be tested.
