Fayette Co. students head back to school

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Wednesday marks the first day back to school for Fayette County students.

The district ranks second in size in Kentucky, only behind Louisville’s public school system.

42,000 Fayette County Public Schools students are back in the classroom today.

In addition to Fayette County, Laurel County and multiple other school districts in the state are also back to school today.
