Fayette Co. man sentenced to 8 years for drug trafficking
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — A Lexington man was sentenced to eight years in prison on Tuesday for his role in trafficking a fentanyl and heroin mixture in 2021.
Allante Brown was also given five years of supervised release after his prison sentence is completed.
According to Brown’s plea agreement, on Nov. 3, 2021, law enforcement conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Brown.
A search resulted in 97 grams of a fentanyl and heroin mixture and $1,670 in cash.
Brown has two prior felony convictions for robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He had just been released from prison 12 days before his arrest.
The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Kentucky State Police; and the Lexington Police Department.
