Fatal shooting on Versailles Road under investigation in Lexington, 17-year-old victim identified
UPDATE: 2/06 9:20 a.m. – The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 17-year-old Johnathon Hunt of Lexington. According to the coroner, Hunt died from gunshot wounds. The coroner also says the teen died at the scene of the shooting Thursday.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed Thursday afternoon in a parking lot along Versailles Road.
According to the Lexington Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Versailles Road around 4:05 p.m. for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police and emergency crews provided life-saving aid at the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office is expected to release the victim’s name.
