KSP identifies two people killed in Wolfe County crash on Mountain Parkway

WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police have released the names of two people killed in a crash Monday afternoon on the Mountain Parkway in Wolfe County.
According to KSP, 56-year-old Robbin Burchett and 27-year-old Katelyn Harmon died after the minivan and car they were riding in collided near mile marker 47 around 4 p.m.
Investigators say the driver of the van crossed the center line and hit the car head-on. Several other people, including children, were also injured in the crash.
A 9-year-old girl and the driver of the car were taken to the hospital in critical condition. State Police continue to investigate the collision.

WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A deadly crash has shut down both directions of the Mountain Parkway in Wolfe County near Exit 46.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), the parkway is closed at mile marker 47, and the duration of the closure remains unknown. Through traffic is being detoured via KY 191 and KY 205 at Exits 46 and 57.
Radio station WCBJ 103.7 The Wolfe Campton/Jackson reports that two people have been confirmed dead and five others were taken to Morgan County ARH in West Liberty after a five-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
Law enforcement continues to reroute traffic off the parkway while crews work to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash.
