Fatal accident in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Rain led to a fatal car wreck in Laurel County Friday night.

The county coroner says around 11 Friday night a van hydroplaned on I-75 near the 38 mile marker and hit a wall.

According to the coroner, a utility truck rear ended a tractor trailer that was trying to avoid the van.

The utility truck’s driver, 63-year-old Samuel Gregory from Knox County died.

The coroner says the truck was from Stanley Pipeline in Winchester.
