Fatal Accident in Fayette County on New Circle Road
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police suspect driving under the influence caused a crash that killed a man in Lexington late Friday night. The Fayette County coroner says 57 year old John Rusnak died just after midnight on New Circle Road past Woodhill Drive.
Police have arrested 33 year old Dean Carson for DUI and drug possession, but officers say he could face other charges. They say around a quarter to midnight Carson was driving a SUV that crashed into Rusnak when he was at a red light.
Carson was treated for minor injuries before he went to jail.
A passenger in his car wasn’t hurt. Police think speed could also be part of the reason for the crash.
