Georgia family uninjured after accident in Webster Co.

SEBREE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A mother, father, and child are okay after an accident on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway on Sunday.

Kentucky State Police say the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. near the 61 mile-marker.  Officers say Jason Taylor of Gwennitt, Georgia was driving a 2014 Jeep Cherokee southbound when he lost control of the vehicle.  The Cherokee went off the left shoulder of the roadway into the median, investigators say, before crossing into the northbound lanes where it hit a guardrail.

Taylor and his wife Leslie were uninjured in the accident.  Their 6-year-old son was taken to Baptist Health Madisonville, where he was treated and released.  Troopers say both adults were wearing seat belts, and the child was restrained in a booster seat.

Officers say wet roadways may have been a contributing factor to the accident.
