Family safe after overnight garage fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Fire crews responded to a garage fire at a home on Park Ridge Lane around three o’clock Thursday morning.

Firefighters say the fire started in the trunk of a vehicle.

The family was woken up by smoke detectors and made it out safely.

Officials say the damage was contained to the vehicle.
