Family, friends remember stabbing victim
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Friends and family gathered Tuesday evening to honor the life of a man stabbed to death at a Frankfort apartment complex.
Dozens gathered to celebrate the life of Marcus Morris, 26. According to police, he was murdered outside the Hickory Hills apartment complex Monday afternoon.
Morris’ family says he was a good father, a good brother and son, always full of life.
Now, the family is calling on the community to help put an end to violence in their city.
“I don’t want no more sons getting buried, I don’t want no more parents burying their kids, no more kids growing up without their fathers or mothers or anything like that,” said Morris’ brother Derrick Morris.
Morris’ family is planning to host a community picnic, trying to promote peace. It’s something Derrick Morris says is lacking in Frankfort and elsewhere.
As for his brother, Derrick Morris says he wants him to be remembered as a kind, caring, and most of all, love-able person.
“That’s the best way to remember his memory,” said Morris. “That’s the best way. Love. That was him.”
The Frankfort Police have issued an arrest warrant for Ashley Rene (Relo) Jones for the murder of Morris.
Anyone with information on the location of Jones is asked to call Detective Josh Baker at 502-320-1229.

Ashley Rene (Relo) Jones is wanted by the Frankfort Police Department for the stabbing murder of Marcus Morris at Hickory Hill Manor.
