Family displaced after fire on Deer Crossing Way

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington family is without a home after a fire on Deer Crossing Way broke out just after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

The Lexington Fire Department says all 3 members of the family were able to escape the flames without injury, along with their 3 dogs and a bird.

Firefighters say the 2-story home sustained extensive damage.

According to the fire department, the flames began in the garage after a car caught fire.

Firefighters have contacted the Red Cross to arrange housing for the family.
