Family displaced after fire in Garrard County, but Christmas gifts saved

GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A family in Garrard County has been displaced after a fire damaged their home on Price Court late Monday night.

According to Garrard County Emergency Management, crews responded to the structure fire and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze within 30 minutes.

In a heartwarming effort, emergency crews safely retrieved the family’s Christmas presents, ensuring the holiday spirit was preserved despite the circumstances.

No injuries were reported in the incident. The American Red Cross is assisting the family as they recover from the fire.
