Family Care Center HANDS opens to more parents.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky’s Health Access Nurturing Development Services (HANDS) program announced it is now open to serve expectant parents and parents with newborns.

They said the program was previously only available to first-time parents, but looks to provide support in building save environments for children.

“The main goal of HANDS is to help encourage healthy pregnancies and birth for mothers, and healthy child growth and development for babies,” said Brenda English, HANDS program administrator for Kentucky.
