False threat reported at Bath County High

OWINGSVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Bath County High School is reassuring parents and students after a threat reported Thursday was determined to be false.

According to school officials, a student made a statement that caused concern, prompting an immediate investigation by the school resource officer. After looking into the matter, authorities determined there was no credible threat.

The school said proper safety protocols were followed and that all students and staff remained safe throughout the day.

Officials thanked parents, students, and staff for their cooperation as they continue to make student safety their top priority.
