WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Whitley County School District is addressing concerns after false information circulated on social media this week.

Officials say some high school students shared claims about an incident at the school, but a thorough investigation confirmed the reports were completely false. No firearm was found, and there is no threat to students or staff.

Law enforcement is working to identify the students responsible for posting the false information.
