Fake shooting gives church goers a scare

JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 News) – A scare hits Jackson County Wednesday night after reports of an active shooter at a local church send multiple agencies rushing to the scene. The sheriff’s office says several 9-1-1 calls came in around 8:15 p.m., claiming there was a shooter at the Bond Holiness Church Fellowship Hall on Highway 290.

Officers, firefighters, and EMS all respond, but after investigating, authorities confirm there is no active shooter, no injuries, and no shots fired.

The sheriff’s office says the post was made to keep the public informed and adds that more details will be released later.
