Facility’s closing eliminates 338 Northern Kentucky jobs
HEBRON, Ky. (AP) – A Georgia-based logistics and e-commerce firm has notified Kentucky officials that it is laying off 338 workers because it is shutting down its Boone County operations.
The Kentucky Enquirer (http://cin.ci/1YFVqUL ) reports that Mike Lloyd, Innotrac Corp.’s human resources manager, wrote in a letter to the Kentucky Career Center dated Tuesday that the workers at its Hebron facility will be laid off by July 2. The layoffs are scheduled to start in May.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Innotrac fills orders that come through websites such as eBay. It operates 10 fulfillment centers and one call center across the U.S.
In the past, the company has provided thousands of jobs to seasonal workers in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region during the holiday season.
An Innotrac representative could not be reached for comment.
