Ex-Kentucky coach Morriss back in high school
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — Former University of Kentucky head coach Guy Morriss is the new offensive line coach at Warren Central High School in Bowling Green.
The 63-year-old Morriss was Kentucky’s coach from 2001-02 before leading Baylor for five seasons.
Morriss’ resume also includes a year as an offensive line coach for Kentucky State in 2008. His other stops include serving as offensive line coach for the NFL’s New England Patriots in 1988-89, two years as offensive line coach at Valdosta State in 1992-93 and a year as offensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals in 1994.
Morriss was most recently the head coach at Texas A&M-Commerce from 2009-12.
Warren Central Principal Brad Tolbert told the Daily News (http://bit.ly/1qdn34f ) Morriss will be a coach only and receive $2,700 for the season.
