Ex-deputy jailer accused of impersonating police officer
COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A former deputy jailer in northern Kentucky has been indicted on charges accusing him of impersonating a police officer and demanding sex from women.
The Kentucky Enquirer reports that 28-year-old Chad Ludwick of Covington was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree felony sexual abuse, three counts of impersonating a peace officer and three counts of first-degree felony unlawful imprisonment.
According to arrest records, Ludwick would display a police shield and cuffs and tell victims that all their charges would be dropped if they performed sexual acts. Police say the victims later identified Ludwick and his vehicle.
A nine-point indictment filed in Kenton County Circuit Court details three separate instances in which Ludwick allegedly impersonated an officer between August 2014 and March 2015.
