Everyone’s invited to the “Messiah” sing-along
Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) – A nearly four-hundred-year-old Christmas tradition will be celebrated again in Central Kentucky, as the Lexington and Lexington North Stakes of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints host their second annual sing-along event, featuring the beloved music of Handel’s Messiah.
All are invited to join in song on Saturday, December 16th, at 7:00 pm, at the Lexington North Stake Center located at 2459 Sir Barton Way. The sing-along will feature a group of professional and volunteer musicians from around Kentucky and the region.
The choir and orchestra are comprised of singers and musicians from around the community, joined by students from the Paul Laurence Dunbar High School Advanced Choir and Advanced Orchestra. Guests are invited to bring or borrow music, or simply sing or hum along as they recognize the evening’s selections.
Admission is free.
