“Every year is a new year.”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – 30 years Solid Blue fans.  3 decades of disappointment.  Sprinkle in a few “oh so closes,” like a few years ago right here in Lexington, or perhaps the trip to Gainesville where the clock favored the Gators.

It all boils down to this: a sign can say it all.  You can see that sign in the video.

The time to end the Florida streak is now.  With a chance to be 4-0, 2-0 in SEC play and hosting Eastern Michigan next weekend, this victory could be the biggest, save the road win over UofL last season, in the Stoops era.

Coach won’t be preaching the streak to his team this week.

That said, this is a big game, and one that does mean more.  Just go ask any Solid Blue fan on the street…especially ask those who purchase tickets to games.

The Florida streak is different and while Stoops knows that, he’s not going to say this game is a make-or-break.  It’s not the one that gets the bandwagon back together or 100 percent buy-in by all.

It’s just not his style.
