Estill County man accused of seeking sex with minors

IRVINE, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Estill County man is behind bars, accused of seeking minors for sex online.

Kentucky State Police say 42-year-old Andy Estes was taken into custody on Thursday on charges related to child sexual exploitation.

According to investigators, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering Estes was using social media to engage in sexual conduct and communication with minors.

Estes’ home in Irvine was searched and his computer was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.

Estes is charged with one count of Prohibited Use of Electronic Communications System to Procure a Minor for Sex Offenses and is in the Three Forks Regional Jail.
