Estill Co. Animal Shelter cancels plans to euthanize cats
ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) — UPDATE (5:37 p.m.): The Estill County Animal Shelter has cancelled plans to euthanize its cats.
Almost 40 cats and kittens were adopted within a day of the shelter’s Facebook post asking people to save these cats before they were put down.
The shelter still needs four to five dogs adopted by Thursday or they will be euthanized.

The Estill County Animal Shelter needs help in finding homes for current animals.
The shelter has set a date for animals not adopted to be euthanized on August 9th.
They also put a message on Facebook in hopes that the public will help.
“Hey folks we need your help again!!! We have almost 40 cats and kittens in the shelter and have no where to put them….We’ve set a Euth date for Thursday the 9th…Also the dogs we have over 14 and need to make room so they will be on for Thursday also…Please come find your new family member today!!!”
